PLEASE READ ALL THE TERMS & CONDITIONS & WARRANTY BEFORE PURCHASING**
TERMS & CONDITIONS OF SALE:
IMPORTANT please read these terms carefully as it is vital that you understand them:
We are a vehicle salvage operation. WE SELL DAMAGED CARS. They are ‘SOLD AS SEEN’ and do not come with any guarantee that they are of ‘satisfactory’ quality and/or fit for any purpose”.
The purchaser is given every opportunity to inspect the vehicle to their satisfaction and he/she is responsible for ensuring that the vehicle complies with current Road Traffic Act requirements and the Road Vehicle (Construction and Use) Regulations 1986 and any amendments thereto.
You should not drive the vehicle until the damage is suitably repaired and, if necessary, given a new MOT certificate. However, if you do drive the vehicle, we will not be responsible for any damage and/or loss howsoever caused. If the vehicle has a MOT, this will not imply that the vehicle is safe to drive as it may have become damaged after its MOT test.
The description we give over the phone or on our website, eBay, Gumtree or other social media sites is a brief description ONLY. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you view the vehicle before purchasing. We also advise you to bring a VEHICLE ENGINEER to assess the vehicle and the damage as NO warranty is given on the vehicle.
We DO NOT operate a “Distance Selling“ scheme and you will have no right to cancel the contract of sale if you sign it or agree/respond to it via email.
DEPOSITS ARE NOT REFUNDABLE under any circumstance.
Damaged vehicles driven from our premises will be driven at drivers own risk. We accept no liability for any damage caused once the vehicle has left our premises.
Thames Street Auto Salvage strongly recommend that upon completion of repairs, the vehicle is inspected, and repairs approved by a member of the Institute of Automotive Engineer Assessors (IAEA).
HPI checks are undertaken on all vehicles before being offered for sale and will be HPI clear at that point, but we CANNOT guarantee that they will remain HPI clear for any time after we have done that check.
If you require the use of a “Fork Lift” truck – this can be arranged upon payment of £25 + VAT
Storage is charged at £15 + VAT per day starting from the day after you have agreed to collect the vehicle but where you have not done so.
If a vehicle is not collected by the agreed date, Autoway Salvage Limited reserve the right to retain any deposit and re-sell the vehicle as required.
PAYMENT:
We will accept debit card payments to a maximum of £1000 for deposits. We do not accept credit card payments. Corporate card payments will attract a 2.5% handling fee.
Balance payments must be made by BACS 48 hours prior to collection. Failure to comply will result in collection being delayed.
